Policy - Institutional Conflicts of Interest Involving Research
This policy establishes procedures for disclosing, managing, or eliminating institutional conflicts of interest that could compromise, or appear to compromise, research at the University of Kentucky. It addresses financial interests held by the University, its affiliated corporations, and University officials whose authority may influence research decisions, review, or oversight. Potential conflicts must be disclosed to the Institutional Conflict of Interest Official and managed or eliminated before affected agreements are executed or research begins, helping protect research integrity, particularly in studies involving human participants.
